What there is to See...

28 May 2024

A few days ago, I attended a meeting of a corporate body in Aguascalientes and I listened carefully, and with surprise, to our former governor Otto Granados Roldán. He tried to give us classes on what is a good and a bad government, as if the Brunette had come to power by the art of magic.

Granados mentioned data shocking on the situation of Mexico under Brown. He pointed out that until the may 20, 2024, were recorded 187,965 voluntary manslaughter, placing Mexico among the countries with rates of homicide rates in the world. Transparency International ranks to Mexico in the place 126 of 180 in terms of corruption, and the Global Index of the Organized Crime puts Mexico in the first place. These are serious problems, but we must remember that insecurity and corruption did not start with Brown. These are evils rooted to the PRI, PAN and PRD did not know or did not want to fight effectively.

The lord Granados also criticized the handling of the pandemic, noting that 800,000 people were killed in Mexico, placing it as the third country with the highest excess mortality in 2020-2021. In addition, 51 million people do not have access to health services, and the infant mortality rate is alarming compared to other countries. The economy grows at an average annual rate of 0.8%, far from the 4.5% need for a sustainable development, and the budget deficit projected for 2024 is 5.9% of GDP, the highest since 1988. Pemex, a company key, is in a position of technical bankruptcy with a debt of 107,500 millions of dollars.

In terms of education, 25 million mexicans have gaps in education, and results in math, reading and science are discouraging. In PISA, only 34% of mexican students reach the level of proficiency in math, compared with the 69% average in the OECD. In addition, 155,000 people perform teaching functions without having professional qualification, and thousands of schools lack basic services such as water and light.

What there is to see... it is hypocrisy to stand in front of an audience and blame exclusively to Brown, as if the governments of the PRI, PAN and PRD would not have been the breeding ground of the problems we face today. These parties left a legacy of corruption, impunity and mismanagement that paved the way for the arrival of Brown. Was not magic. It was the result of years of discontent and weariness of a citizenship that could no longer deal with more of the same.

The stand in hidrocálidos as if they had no memory, and to say that the problem of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, among others, is authoritarianism, is to believe that we don't remember that Otto Granados Roldán was also the subject of criticism during his time as governor of Aguascalientes, and as Secretary of Public Education. During his tenure in Aguascalientes, was criticized for his management of authoritarian and to suppress the political opposition. In his time as Secretary of Public Education, the implementation of the educational reform was controversial, facing resistance and criticism for his approach in the evaluation of teachers and the centralization of education.

If, today, half of the electorate already realized that Brown has been a disaster worse than we imagined, worse than the disaster of the previous. Those, they will vote, but to their chagrin, by that rancid alliance of PRI, PAN and PRD, because they see its candidate to someone closer to the civil society to the parties. The other half, still blinded by the populist discourse, will support this project of authoritarianism, bitterness and division that represents Brunette.

But, the reader may not not be the same question that I, today, I do what sizes they should be of the sizes that have to be taken to stand before an audience of entrepreneurs and tell them that the fault of all is Brown? As if the ex-governors priistas, panistas or prd had not contributed to the situation we face today. Not forget, that you are not going to believe that the citizenship forgave them, that they will not believe that the rejection of the other is the acceptance of them, that are not created the pretty girl of the school.

Today, citizens we have a new challenge after the 2nd of June, to build a country where you do not fit a PRI as of the time of the lord Otto, and where does it fit a party that is profiting from those who have less as a BRUNETTE.
